Management

In a retrospective study of 128 patients over 30 years, craniofacial cleft was identified as the main cause necessitating surgical correction [PMID:19387359].

Complications

Among the surgical outcomes analyzed, cerebrospinal fluid leakage was identified as the major complication with a rate of 6.3% [PMID:19387359].

Prognosis & Follow-up

Post-operative evaluations revealed statistically significant improvements in multiple craniofacial measurements, with 91.4% of patients expressing satisfaction [PMID:19387359].
