Rabies

Overview

Rabies is a fatal viral encephalitis transmitted through the saliva of infected mammals, primarily via bites. It affects the central nervous system and is nearly always fatal once clinical symptoms appear 113.

Diagnosis

  • Clinical Presentation: History of animal bite, neurological symptoms (agitation, confusion, paralysis) 13.
  • Diagnostic Tests:
