Non-toxic nodular goiter

Overview

Non-toxic nodular goiter (NTNG) refers to an enlargement of the thyroid gland characterized by multiple nodules without evidence of malignancy or hyperfunction, often associated with iodine deficiency or autoimmune thyroiditis 1.

Diagnosis

  • Clinical evaluation including thyroid palpation and assessment for compressive symptoms 1.
