Open injury, axillary nerve

Last edited:

Clinical Presentation

A patient developed isolated left axillary nerve palsy following lipoabdominoplasty and breast reduction where prone and supine positions were alternated [PMID:35241408].

Management

In this case, the clinical picture of isolated axillary nerve palsy was fully resolved with conservative treatment [PMID:35241408].

Complications

The use of an infiltration solution containing lidocaine and epinephrine might have contributed to the axillary nerve lesion in this patient [PMID:35241408].
