Epidemiology
According to the literature reviewed, isolated UAPA without additional cardiac malformations occurs very rarely, with an incidence ranging from 1 in 200,000 to 1 in 300,000 [PMID:39414466].
Clinical Presentation
Most patients with UAPA are asymptomatic until adulthood, though recurrent lung infections and exertional dyspnea are frequently reported symptoms [PMID:39414466].
Management
This case report highlights the successful execution of thoracoscopic sublobectomy in a patient with UAPA and ipsilateral lung cancer, emphasizing the need for meticulous surgical approach due to the unique anatomical challenges [PMID:39414466].
