Fracture subluxation of distal radioulnar joint

Last edited:

Clinical Presentation

Lesions of the TFCC, often presenting as ulnar-sided wrist pain and potential joint instability, were frequently identified in patients undergoing enhanced MRI, highlighting the importance of accurate imaging techniques [PMID:34392004].

Diagnosis

In a study involving 94 patients, the use of contrast-enhanced T1-weighted images significantly enhanced the detection of injuries to the styloid and foveal attachments of the TFCC compared to plain MRI sequences [PMID:34392004].

While contrast-enhanced MRI improved the assessment of styloid and foveal attachments, there was no significant improvement noted for central disc lesions of the TFCC [PMID:34392004].
