Management

One hundred and five children underwent FFMBA and quadruple internal distraction, resulting in exorbitism correction and resolution of respiratory impairment in most cases [PMID:22872273].

Complications

Cerebrospinal fluid leaks occurred in 19 patients, managed conservatively in 11 and with transient lumbar drainage in eight [PMID:22872273].

Prognosis & Follow-up

Reossification was limited at the orbital level, but relapse was prevented with a 6-month retention phase [PMID:22872273].
