Clinical Presentation

All patients in the study refused disfigurement after implant removal for at least 3 months, highlighting the urgency and timing of reconstruction [PMID:39601559].

Management

From 2006 to 2008, 20 patients underwent reconstruction using temporoparietal fascial grafts following implant removal, with no graft exposure or recurrent infections observed over a 5-year follow-up period [PMID:39601559].

Prognosis & Follow-up

Patients recovered within 1 to 2 weeks post-procedure, maintained smooth nasal dorsum skin, adequate projection, and showed no recurrence during 5 years of follow-up [PMID:39601559].
