Management
In two cases reported, the pedicled omental flap technique successfully treated extensive pelvic soft-tissue defects and resolved methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus infection [PMID:28133006].
Complications
Despite initial severe infection around an artificial vessel in one patient, the pedicled omental flap technique facilitated wound healing and subsided the infection [PMID:28133006].
Prognosis & Follow-up
Both cases demonstrated successful epithelization and wound healing without serious infection-related complications post-surgery [PMID:28133006].
