Clinical Presentation
A case of fatal nicotine poisoning presented with no specific gross organ findings at autopsy, despite lethal blood nicotine levels (2.2 microg/mL) [PMID:19954906].
Diagnosis
Toxicological examination revealed high concentrations of nicotine and cotinine (2.2 microg/mL) as the sole lethal agents, highlighting the importance of such screenings [PMID:19954906].
