Management

Postoperative evaluation using pneumo-CT revealed a significant improvement in interincisal distance from a mean of 12.44 mm preoperatively to 32.56 mm postoperatively [PMID:25377952].

The study demonstrated a significant increase in buccal vestibular volume on both sides post-surgery, from an average of 5.66 mL to 9.38 mL on the right and from 6.44 mL to 9.64 mL on the left [PMID:2537952].

Prognosis & Follow-up

The mean follow-up period was 15 months (range, 6-36 months), during which significant improvements in both interincisal distance and buccal mucosal volume were maintained [PMID:25377952].
