Overview
Left ventricular diastolic dysfunction (DD) refers to impaired ventricular relaxation and filling during diastole, often preceding heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF). It is characterized by abnormal diastolic indices despite normal systolic function.Diagnosis
