Overview

Iritis, also known as anterior uveitis, is an inflammation of the iris. In the context of psoriatic arthritis, iritis is an ocular manifestation associated with the systemic inflammatory response of the disease 1.

Management

  • Systemic medications for plaque psoriasis include infliximab, bimekizumab, ixekizumab, and risankizumab, which have shown similar clinical effectiveness 2.
  • Combination therapy with Xiaoyin granule and acitretin capsule may improve total effective rate and cure rate in psoriasis vulgaris compared to monotherapy 3.
  • Combination therapy may also decrease PASI scores and inhibit inflammation (IL-10, IL-17) 3.
