Diagnosis
Fluorine 18-fluoro-2-deoxy-glucose-positron emission tomography (FDG-PET) scan demonstrated enhanced uptake in cardiophrenic angle masses, aiding in the diagnosis of metastatic disease [PMID:21208441].
Management
Two cases reported bilateral cardiophrenic angle lymph node metastases from previously resected ovarian carcinoma without evidence of peritoneal or pleural spread [PMID:21208441].
Prognosis & Follow-up
CPLN involvement was noted as potentially indicative of staging and prognosis in ovarian cancer, highlighting the importance of thorough follow-up imaging [PMID:21208441].
