Exertional heat stroke

Overview

Exertional heat stroke (EHS) is a severe medical emergency characterized by rapid hyperthermia and central nervous system dysfunction during or immediately after physical exertion, predominantly affecting young, healthy individuals 8. It carries significant morbidity and mortality risks if not promptly recognized and treated 18.

Diagnosis
