Thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura

Overview

Thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP) is a thrombotic microangiopathy characterized by microangiopathic hemolytic anemia, thrombocytopenia, and organ dysfunction due to severe ADAMTS13 deficiency 120.

Diagnosis

  • Key Diagnostic Criteria: Microangiopathic hemolytic anemia, thrombocytopenia, neurological symptoms, and low ADAMTS13 activity (<10%) 820.
